Setup guide
Windows 10/11 · Android 8.0+ · Same Wi-Fi required
1. Install the Windows server
Download the installer from the download section and run it. The installer does not need administrator rights and installs to your user folder. When Windows Firewall asks, choose Allow and tick Private networks.
The desktop app shows a QR code, a 6-digit pairing code and the PC’s IP address.
2. Install the Android app
Download the APK and open it from your phone’s Files/Downloads app. Allow installation from that app if Android asks. The APK is debug-signed for direct distribution; it contains no ads or trackers.
3. Pair
- Tap Scan the QR code on your PC and point the camera at the desktop QR code.
- Or pick your PC from the discovered list and type the 6-digit code.
- Or choose Enter address manually: PC IP (e.g. 192.168.0.100), port 57891, code.
After a successful connection the scanner opens.
4. Scan into an app
Click the field in Excel, your POS, ERP or browser first. Then scan a barcode on the phone. The text appears in the focused window. Enable Press Enter after each scan on the PC if your app needs it.
Output settings
- Keyboard emulation — types like a keyboard. Best for most apps.
- Clipboard paste — pastes text. Useful for non-English characters.
- Prefix / suffix — add text around the barcode.
- Keystroke delay — raise it if characters are dropped in a slow app.
Troubleshooting
Phone cannot find the PC
Use the manual address option. Check both devices are on the same Wi-Fi and firewall allows the app on private networks.
Nothing is typed
Click the target field first. Try clipboard mode and increase the delay. On macOS, grant Accessibility permission.
Port already in use
The desktop app automatically tries 57892, 57893… and the QR advertises the actual port.
Trial or license
Open Manage license in the desktop app to copy the machine code or paste a key. License checks are offline.
