These terms govern your use of the ScanBridge Android app, the ScanBridge desktop application and this website. By installing or using ScanBridge you agree to these terms.

1. The product

ScanBridge connects an Android phone to a Windows computer over a local network so that decoded barcode text can be typed into applications on that computer. The Android app is free. The Windows server is commercial software with a 14-day trial.

2. Trial

The desktop app includes a 14-day trial starting on first launch. The trial provides the full feature set. No payment card is required. After the trial ends, a valid license is required to continue using the scanning output.

3. License grant

A Personal license grants one individual the right to use the desktop app on one Windows computer. Team and Business licenses cover the number of computers stated at purchase. A license is non-exclusive, non-transferable and may not be resold or shared outside the licensed organisation. You may use unlimited phones with a licensed PC.

4. Restrictions

• Do not reverse engineer, decompile or modify the software except where the law expressly permits it.
• Do not remove license checks or redistribute license keys.
• Do not use ScanBridge to violate any law or the rights of others.

5. Updates and support

A license includes updates for one year from purchase. After that, the version you have continues to work. Support is provided by email at the address below, on a reasonable-effort basis.

6. Ownership

ScanBridge and its licensors retain all intellectual property rights in the software and branding. This is a license, not a sale of the software itself. Android, Google Play and Windows are trademarks of their respective owners; ScanBridge is not affiliated with them.

7. No warranty

The software is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted operation. You are responsible for testing ScanBridge with your own POS, spreadsheet or ERP before relying on it in production.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScanBridge is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits, lost data or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the license in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our refund policy.

10. Termination

We may suspend a license if these terms are materially violated or if a key is used fraudulently. You may stop using ScanBridge at any time.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights you may have in your country.
